This is me with a very important Christine!...see more over at the other blog...
Not that all Christine's aren't important...but sometimes there are some Christines who are just very well known! Mrs Nixon very kindly called in to see the progress we were making with the stitchery quilt
"Stitching ourselves Together"
This quilt was the brainchild of Bronwyn Morrissey and others and was kindly facilitated by the Latrobe City Council and Bushfire recovery. The ladies asked me to design a quilt and after some initial meetings we decided that a static one size fits all quilt was not what we wanted. We wanted individual stitcheries and pieces that reflected everyone's own personal journey. I have nothing but admiration for this group of courageous women who have faced some terrible demons and yet still have time for one another. Click on the link above to see some snapshots of one of the sessions over at the Traralgon South Recovery centre. (why is there a red line under "centre" typepad?) Now that I have figured out how to do it I will upload some of the patterns too so that you might like to stitch along. The little wallaby on the top bar is one of the stitcheries and very nice too...Best regards Brenda
